Hello Friends,
My name Karen Anderson and I am privileged to be able to spend the next five weeks with my friend Aday, I met Aday when she was a smarty pants 17 year old doing a sells job that was fun and a bit edgy. We worked at a single's club. I would set up sales calls and she be one of several sales people who would go on the sales calls. Aday was a natural saleswoman. With the ability to talk to anyone aund a sharp wit, she showed all of us that youth was not an obstacle for her. We became fast friends after I delivered granny panties and ice cream to Aday during a rather serious urinary track infection, About a year later I moved to California and worked and lived with her family for about 2years. Aday and her family took me in and truly made me feel like family. As all good things come to an end---we moved on with our lives, Squeaky off to college and me onto and adult life of marriage and career.
We lost track of each other, We are a very Nomadic group and frequently move from place to place, I finally found the Kennedys on the Internet and we made contact after several years. Unfortunately, I called during the worst part of their lives.Keeping up with the Kennedys is nearly impossible, They should definitely have their own reality show. We finally met up again on Facebook and yada yada yada I am here now.
Now on to what I am here for, Aday and I are going to be doing several things while I am here. The biggest project is doing a series of videos that will highlight Aday's life. We want to introduce the world to the life of a disabled individual. We want to talk to her family, get the background of her disease and ongoing care. I really need everyone to help us with ideas. How about sending in questions you would like Aday or her family to answer; We will also be talking about her current life as a writer and motivational speaker.
Aday is working on a virtual community for the differently-abled. What would you like to see on such a website? We really want to focus on the positive side of life while being realistic and helping all people find their new calling.
I will be posting pretty regularly and filling you in on why I can empathize with the disabled community as I myself am a member.
Talk to you soon and I hope to hear from all my new friends.
Loves,
K
