What board games did you enjoy? What were some of the traits they shared?
- Roll a dice or spin a spinner to move so many spaces per turn.
- Cards with instructions to tell a player what to do.
- Spaces with instructions to move forward, backwards, to the beginning, end or some other location on the board.
Create a match game with your book characters & scenes. In Power point make a grid and fill in the grid with your graphics. Include instructions to cut them out of card stock. If you want to have it as a giveaway, you can cover each card stock sheet with clear shelf paper.
Make a Tic Tac Toe board. With two characters from your book 9designate them as x's & O's.
Are there other games you can think of converting or can you make up a compleely original game? Leave a comment and contribute your ideas.

Great ideas for marketing which should make any kids book a better sell. I would love more of your ideas as a post to the new blog I am starting for beginning writers interested in writing for kids. It is at http://terri-forehand.blogspot.com and is another step in the newbie journey I am on ( the same one I have been on for 30 years, just not making much progress)
I also am continuing my blog for parents and kids dealing with loss, illness, and disabilities. I still feel in my heart there is a need and it is just a matter of getting more information out to more parents. Thanks for your blog and all the information you share.
Blessings, Terri
